In Cardigan Market town you will find a bustling high street in which an abundance of independent shops, Antique and craft sellers, artisan food shops, and cafes can be explored. A wide variety of bars and restaurants can be found that are sure to keep you well-fed and watered. Cardigan also has a cinema/theatre which is a great source of indoor entertainment. Cardigan Bay provides even more wonderful attractions including the many beautiful beaches nearby. In fact, you really are spoilt for choice! Sandy beaches at Mwnt, Aberporth, Tresaith, Penbryn, and Poppit are ideal for, Exploring, Sunbathing, Swimming, and walking the dog.

We stayed at Canllefaes Cottages for a family holiday and had a brilliant week. The grounds were immaculate and clearly well cared for — thanks in no small part to Paul the gardener, who was friendly, pleasant, and approachable. The whole … More site has a relaxed, welcoming feel and plenty of space for both kids and adults to enjoy.
Our cottage, Ty Coed, was clean, comfortable, and well equipped. The hot tub was a definite highlight and perfect for winding down after exploring the local area. A bit of additional privacy screening would make it even better, but it didn’t stop us from enjoying it thoroughly. The kitchen had everything we needed, and the unexpected addition of a Sega Mega Drive was a great touch that delighted both our 10-year-old and the grown-ups alike.
Everything felt well maintained, with just the odd long-standing cobweb here and there, but overall the cottage was spotless and homely. We didn’t light the log burner this time, but it looked very inviting and would be lovely in colder months.
The community fire pit was another excellent feature — a nice way to chat with other guests and share ideas for places to visit while the kids made the most of the play area and the dog field for a kickabout.
The local area is full of great walks and beaches, all within easy reach. We were lucky with the weather for October, which made exploring even better.
Overall, Canllefaes Cottages made for a peaceful, family-friendly stay in beautiful surroundings. Thoughtfully run, well kept, and with plenty of small touches that make it feel special — we’d happily return. -
The cottages were recommended by a friend who stayed over the summer. We stayed in Pen Y Bryn, lovely 2 bed cottage with everything you could need and a private hot tub. Excellent base to explore the surrounding area, lovely grounds and … More nice to have the table tennis and the games room. The pool and the fire it looked great for the warmer weather.
