When you Arrive
What’s included in your cottage?
When you arrive at Canllefaes you will find your cottage spotlessly clean. On our last grading inspection by the Wales Tourist Board we were given 100% for our cleanliness in and around the cottages.
Your beds are made up for your arrival (usually after 4pm on a Saturday) with a poly cotton fitted sheet and a duvet. Cots are available but please bring your own cot bedding. There are two pillows on each bed per person so if you require more please bring them with you. Folded neatly on your bed will be one hand and one bath towel per person for use in the cottage. Please bring towels with you for the beach and swimming pool.
On the dining table there is an information folder with details of local interest and how to work everything in the cottage. Also a welcome tray with tea, coffee, sugar, biscuits and freshly cut bara brith (welsh fruit bread) with some fresh flowers. There will also be a pint of fresh milk in the fridge.
In the fully fitted kitchen there are plenty of pans, cooking utensils, crockery and cutlery. Also two tea towels, washing up liquid, a cloth and pan scrub. There are oven gloves and a kitchen roll provided and dish washer tablets for your dishwasher.
In the bathroom we make sure that you have some soap, bath/shower gel, shampoo and two toilet rolls per bathroom to see you through to your first shopping trip. (There are 3 supermarkets and local shops within a ten minute drive and two small shops within a five minute walk).
There is a folder of tourist information in your cottage with the listings for the local cinema/theatre incase of a rainy day.
As well as books, games and jigsaws our visitors book provides information from past guests on where they have been and enjoyed visiting which most guests find useful when deciding where to eat out or visit.
Finally, we live on site and are available if you have any problems during your stay.
